The Colorado River Valley has it all !

Course Description: We have the warmest climate in the entire USA ! Everything happens at the Resort with expected temperatures of 80°. Swim in Moolvayla Lake, ride next to the Colorado River both in California and Arizona and run on the campus of Blue Water. You are never more than a stones throw away from the water. Location: Parker, Arizona is on the banks of the beautiful Colorado River separating Arizona and California. For more details, check the map below. Check out BlueWater Resort & Casino!

THE SWIM: This is the very best part. Lake Moovalya is formed by the Headgate Dam blocking the Colorado River (see center picture below). The cleanest water in the Southwest. We start North and swim with the very slight current. What a blast! Fast times. Water temp for 2006 was 75° and 2007 was 74°. Wetsuits are OK.




THE BIKE: Air Temperature for '07 at START was 68° F. Bike from bridge to dam always along the Colorado River in both Arizona and California. We actually cross the Colorado River twice and the Parker Dam once. Check race maps below for more detail and elevation gains. Race numbers must be worn and visible from the FRONT. Cyclists are personally responsible for the proper working condition of their bike. Bike helmets are required. No drafting.

THE RUN: Run along the rivers edge. Race numbers must be worn and visible from the front. Water aid stations at transition area and every 1.5 miles. Run defensively and follow all instructions of safety personnel. Remember, the runner always has the right of way. Traffic will not be stopped for this event. Only the Mountain Man and Blue Water Resort can give you another Dam Triathlon. Run Maps below.

  • WATERFRONT ROOM SPECIAL: Not yet opened. $69 plus tax per night Friday, Saturday or Sunday. Must mention "Blue Water Triathlon" to receive this rate by calling: 928.669.7656 during business hours and ask for Christina or Gelena.. Cut-off of special room rate is Oct 27 with no exceptions.. Other Hotels in Parker. Also, Lake Havasu City AZ is only 36 miles from Parker: Lodging in Lake Havasu City: Havasu Hotel/Motels. Great CAMPING in state parks right next to the river.
  • LATE REGISTRATION & PACKET PICK UP: Blue Water Resort on Saturday Nov 8 from 2 to 5 PM @ River's Edge Cantina right next to the river. You can also pick up on event morning prior to start.
  • AWARDS: 5 year age groups with plaques 3 deep. Sprint 14 and younger and Long is 19 and younger. Overall and Master alabaster sculptures. All finishers get a finisher medal. Awards Ceremony: Sunday noon.
  • Entertainment free concert Saturday evening. Pasta Feed. Boating. Gaming.We mail plaques to those who cannot attend, excluding alabaster trophies.
  • Campground for RV's ONLY on premises: 928.669.2433.
  • No race day registration.

Cancellation Policy: There are NO REFUNDS. You can cancel up to 15 days prior to event for a TRANSFER to a future MME event within the next 12 months. Within 14 days or less, there are NO TRANSFERS. Please check the countdown timer above the pricing schedule. You can switch divisions anytime prior to race day for a fee of $5 plus any entry fee differences.
