Course Description: We have the warmest climate in the entire USA !
Everything happens at the Resort with expected temperatures of 80°. Swim in Moolvayla Lake, ride next to the Colorado River both in California and Arizona and run on the campus of Blue Water. You are never more than a stones throw away from the water. Location: Parker, Arizona is on the banks of the beautiful Colorado River separating Arizona and California. THE SWIM: This is the very best part. Lake Moovalya is formed by the Headgate Dam blocking the Colorado River (see center picture below). The cleanest water in the Southwest. We start North and swim with the very slight current. What a blast! Fast times. Water temp for 2006 was 75° and '07 was 74° with '08 and '09 at 73°. Wetsuits are OK.




THE BIKE: Air Temperature for '07 at START was 68° F. Bike from bridge to dam always along the Colorado River in both Arizona and California. We actually cross the Colorado River twice and the Parker Dam once. Check race maps below for more detail and elevation gains. Race numbers must be worn and visible from the FRONT. Cyclists are personally responsible for the proper working condition of their bike. Bike helmets are required. No drafting.

THE RUN: Run along the rivers edge. Race numbers must be worn and visible from the front. Water aid stations at transition area and every 1.5 miles. Run defensively and follow all instructions of safety personnel. Remember, the runner always has the right of way. Traffic will not be stopped for this event. Only the Mountain Man and Blue Water Resort can give you another Dam Triathlon. Run Maps below.

  • LATE REGISTRATION & PACKET PICK UP: Blue Water Resort on Saturday Oct 19 from 2 to 4:30 PM @ River's Edge Cantina right next to the river. For the rare few, you can pick up on event morning prior to start. No Race Day Registration
  • AWARDS: 5 year age groups with plaques 3 deep. Sprint 14 and younger and Long is 19 and younger. Overall and Master alabaster sculptures. All finishers get a finisher medal. Awards Ceremony: Sunday noon.
  • Entertainment concert Saturday evening. Pasta Feed. Boating. Gaming.We mail plaques to those who cannot attend, excluding alabaster trophies.
  • Campground for RV's ONLY on premises: 928.669.2433.

Cancellation Policy: There are NO REFUNDS. You can cancel up to 15 days prior to event for a TRANSFER to a future MME specific event within the next 12 months. Within 14 days or less, there are NO TRANSFERS. Please check the countdown timer above the pricing schedule. You can switch divisions any time prior to race day for a fee of $5 plus any entry fee differences. Don't you wish all events had this friendly & liberal policy?
