Directions: Event is at Lake Mead National Recreation Area (LMNRA). From Las Vegas take I-515 South (also known as: Hwy 93/95). Interstate stops at Railroad Pass Casino and Hwy 93 continues through Boulder City. Go down the large hill and turn left at the Alan Bible Visitor Center onto Lakeshore Drive. This point is exactly four miles from Hoover Dam. Boulder Beach and the transition area are two miles down this road next to the Boulder Beach Ranger station.
The Swim is in Lake Mead which is the largest man made lake in USA. No swimming in a pond here. We promise the cleanest and pH balanced water in the entire Southwest. LMNRA Boulder Beach swim with the transition area next to the water. We expect the water temperature will be 76° F ± 2° (25° C). Wetsuits therefore will be triathletes choice. Yes or no, you decide. There will be plenty of daylight for the start of this race. Start on North boat ramp and finish on the South boat ramp. WETSUITS are OK.
The Bike: Entirely within the Lake Mead National Park with low traffic and wide bike lanes.
- Sprint: One loop going west on Lakeshore Drive. Change from last year: Turnaround at 5.2 mile

Tip: This course has rolling hills with one decent hill. There are no water aid stations
on the Olympic or sprint bike course. Please bring at least two water
bottles with you.
- 70.3 Half: Cut off time for the half swim and bike is 4:45 hours. You will not be allowed to start the run past this time. Follows Lakeshore Drive and turn right onto Northshore Road to the turnaround
at mile post 18.1. Course then repeats DIRECTLY back to the transition
area. 70.3 Half bike
